Founded in 1956 by Maddalena and Fernando de Padova, the firm is defined by its Nordic style and design with an innovative ambition that characterises them. De Padova began in the 1950s selling Scandinavian furniture in their Milan shop. In the 1960s de Padova opened its emblematic showroom on Corso Venezia in Milan and subsequently began its relationship with designers such as George Nelson, Charles & Ray Eames, Achille Castiglioni, Dieter Rams and Vico Magistretti. For more than 50 years of activity, De Padova has remained faithful to its original philosophy: design as an instrument for the diffusion of emotion. The collection stems from a deep knowledge and passion for classic design pieces and craftsmanship, coupled with research and innovation. Over time, De Padova’s special and unique language of elegance and sober simplicity has been confirmed.
