In the words of Oscar Tusquets: \u2018In homage to Enzo Mari, who called his chair Tonietta, a derivative of Thonet, I have called this chair Gaulinetta, in allusion to the Gaulino\u2019. Inspired by Antonio Gaud\u00ed and Carlo Mollino, Tusquets created \u201cGaulino\u201d in 1987. It was a handcrafted industrial chair with a contoured wooden frame, slender, streamlined legs and soft, rich leather. The handcrafted chair became a modern icon of 20th century design. The Gaulinetta is an adaptation of this design, influenced by Enzo Mari and his Tonietta chair. The reduced armrests create an elegant model for dining in smaller spaces and can be stored away after use.
