Designed by Jonathan Muecke for Knoll, the Muecke Coffee Table explores the expressive qualities of wood through solid cylindrical dowels and exposed joinery. Visible end grain and a carefully developed floating-tenon connection system transform a familiar furniture type into a sculptural object defined by material honesty and structural clarity.
