Cappellini

A Story of Passion and Avant-garde Design

Founded in 1946 by Enrico Capellini, Cappellini began its journey as a furniture factory specializing in wooden products. During its first years, the company was consolidated thanks to its commitment to quality and craftsmanship in each piece produced. However, everything changed with the incorporation of Giulio, Enrico’s son. With a palpable passion for art and design, Giulio not only brought renewed air to the company, but became the catalyst that catapulted Cappellini to the global panorama of contemporary design and furniture, fusing traditional craftsmanship with an avant-garde aesthetic and bold.

Capellini Style and Collaborations Unrivaled in World Design

Cappellini’s collections stand out for their tireless search for new trends and emerging talents. Their commitment to innovation has allowed them to work side by side with designers who break the mold and provide fresh and unique visions.

The innovative spirit of the brand has led them to develop their own style, often described as ‘tutti frutti’ design. It is a bold mix of minimalism, pop fashion, technology and organic shapes. These pieces not only offer functionality in a space, but stand as authentic works of art that interact with the environment and reflect a unique perspective on design.

Cappellini’s reputation would not be the same without his collaborations with great names in design such as Marc Newson, Jasper Morrison, Tom Dixon, and brothers Erwan and Ronan Bouroullec, among others. These alliances have borne fruit in iconic creations that have gained global recognition. A clear example of his influence and legacy is that 18 of his pieces are now part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, a testament to Cappellini’s lasting impact on the universe of design.
