Serge Mouille
Serge Mouille was a French industrialist, silversmith and teacher, known for his modernist lighting creations. After graduating from the School of Applied Arts and opening his own workshop, in 1950 Serge Mouille began designing elaborate handmade floor and wall lamps. These designs were inspired by the shape of the female human body, particularly the musculature and skeleton. His designs were shown alongside creations by Charlotte Perriand, Isamu Noguchi and Jean Prouvé, and Serge Mouille’s lamps soon caught the world’s attention. Today, Serge Mouille’s creations are timeless classics, bringing a modern touch to any home. Lamps with minimalist lines and articulated arms with flexo-type heads, which stand out for the use of black painted metal materials.
