108 Chair

The 108 chair was originally designed by Finn Juhl in 1955. At first glance, it may look like any ordinary dining chair. On closer inspection, however, surprising details are revealed, such as the angled side rails and sliding cross rails. These details add unexpected movement and dynamism to the chair’s construction. The chair is available in oak, walnut or black paint finishes, and can be upholstered in fabric or leather. To this day, Finn Juhl’s designs remain unconventional and defy expectations with subtle details. Finn Juhl himself once said that ‘the deviation is in the detail’. This also applies to his 108 chair, which is defined by elegant and subtle details such as angled side rails and sliding crossbars, which add unexpected movement and dynamism to the construction.
