The design of the Panthella lamp is one of Verner Panton’s most significant creations, reflecting the larger-than-life personality of the Danish architect. His goal was to create an organic-shaped lamp that would provide 100% glare-free light, with the base and shade acting as light reflectors. Panton achieved this by manufacturing the Panthella lamp with Louis Poulsen in 1971. The lamp’s distinctive shape and its ability to reflect soft light from its trumpet-shaped base have solidified its status as a design icon. The Panthella 160 Portable lamp is a smaller version of the original design. With a diameter of only 160 mm, it is the perfect size to move from room to room or take outdoors to the balcony or garden, where it will look amazing and create a wonderful atmosphere.
