Gordon Guillaumier’s career: design with a global vision
Born in Malta in 1966, Gordon Guillaumier trained in Milan, where he studied industrial design at the Istituto Europeo di Design before completing a master’s degree at Domus Academy. His career began with collaborations with prominent figures such as Rodolfo Dordoni and Antonio Citterio, allowing him to develop a sophisticated and rigorous approach from the very beginning of his professional journey.
Over the years, he has worked with brands such as Driade, Roda, Lema, Minotti, FontanaArte and Desalto, while maintaining a consistent identity based on clean design, high-quality materials and balanced proportions.
Some of his most representative pieces include:
- The Laze armchair for Roda: a lightweight structure made from stainless steel and woven cord, redefining outdoor relaxation with a laid-back yet elegant aesthetic.
- The Spinnaker table for Roda: an extendable table designed for large outdoor gatherings, combining functional design with a solid teak structure.
